Rigging and Texture Adventures

Hi, progress check number three! The recent past two weeks have been chaotic because I'm taking 18 credits this semester, but I'm still surviving! But there has been some progress and productivity throughout the chaos. One of the ideas I've been working on for myself is having a proper schedule for just production. While I did initiate this semester with having weekly goals/achievements, It's been difficult to achieve high expectations for myself.
So I've been working and experimenting with reasonable expectations for every week. Another productive thing I'm working towards is Crabby's rig. I'm currently still in the works, but I've reached out to Brett and got some amazing help. I did start the rig from scratch but looked and referenced through Brett's past cartoon crab he made. I definitely had to reteach myself how to rig properly, but I believe I'm doing well. I still need to accomplish the facial rig, but I believe I have a solution.

I've also been working on the references for textures for Team Crab, specifically with the crab houses, characters, and some environment assets. I created texture boards for ideas and what stylized texture shaders would want to look like.

The substance designer stylized sand is what I created last semester for a reel and for an internship application. I plan to add shells or any small details for the underwater ground.
